Dayfolio keeps events and settings on this device by default and works without an account.

Only after you tap “Use current location” and grant permission does weather read a one-time location and resolve it to a city. Weather and city search send the city or coordinates to Open-Meteo to return weather and sunrise/sunset data.

If the system geocoder cannot resolve a city, coordinates are sent to BigDataCloud only to obtain a city name. Dayfolio does not create accounts or upload user events.

You can revoke location or notification permission in system settings at any time.
